I recommend going on a weekday if you can. Weekends get super busy and you'll spend more time searching for parking than actually enjoying the park.

Bring a picnic! There are tons of nice spots to sit and enjoy a meal, plus it's a way to save some cash. I packed snacks and saved money instead of eating at the park's vendors.

Check out the local art exhibits if you're into that. They often showcase really awesome talents, and it's free!

If you're planning to take the subway, I'd suggest getting off at Downsview Park Station to save time. The walk from there is pretty short, and it beats trying to find parking.

I recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks. The park's eateries can be a bit pricey, and having your own stuff saved us some cash and gave us more energy for exploring.

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes! The park is huge, and I was glad I wore my sneakers instead of flip-flops — it made wandering around so much easier!

I think walking around the outer paths is a must. I noticed a lot of people missed the really cool spots by sticking to the main paths. Explore a bit, and you might find some hidden gems!

My advice is to bring your own snacks or picnic. I spent way too much on food at the café, and it wasn’t even that great. Grab some sandwiches or snacks and enjoy them near the water.

My advice is to pack a picnic lunch! The park has some great spots to chill out, and it can save you money instead of hitting nearby cafes.

i think bringing good walking shoes is a must. some of the trails can be rougher than you'd expect, and trust me, blisters ruin the fun.

Bring your own snacks and drinks! There are a few food vendors, but they can be pricey. I saved a ton just by packing some goodies and enjoying them by the water.
