Ripley's Aquarium

If you can, avoid weekends. It gets super packed and hard to see everything. Try a weekday instead for a more chill vibe.
Bring a camera, but keep your phone handy. You'll want to snap pics of the amazing sea life, but I found it's easier to pull out your phone for quick shots when it's busy.

I suggest visiting right when they open at 9 AM. The crowd is way smaller then, giving you the chance to enjoy the exhibits at your own pace without the rush.
Woodbine Beach

I think bringing your own beach chairs or a blanket can be a game changer! Renting those can get pricey, plus it helps you snag a good spot for a full day of hanging out

I suggest grabbing a bite at one of the food trucks before hitting the sand; the poutine is amazing! Plus, you'll save time and money compared to the sit-down restaurants nearby.

Keep an eye out for events happening at the beach! When I visited, there was a fun beach volleyball tournament that I hadn’t known about and it made the vibe so lively.
High park

I suggest visiting the cherry blossoms in early April if you're around then. They're stunning and it makes for great photos! Just be prepared for crowds during that time.

If you have kids, the playground is awesome, but don't miss the zoo! It's small but free. I was surprised how much my kids loved seeing the animals up close.

I recommend going on a weekday if you can. Weekends get super busy and you'll spend more time searching for parking than actually enjoying the park.

Bring a picnic! There are tons of nice spots to sit and enjoy a meal, plus it's a way to save some cash. I packed snacks and saved money instead of eating at the park's vendors.
The Toronto Zoo
Hanlan's Point Beach

I think you should bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach kiosks aren't the cheapest, and I ended up spending way more than I planned on food!

My advice is to pack a blanket or mat. The sand can get pretty hot, especially in the afternoon. I burnt my feet walking around in the middle of the day!

I recommend taking the ferry from downtown; it’s super scenic and saves you the hassle of traffic. Just make sure to get there by 10 AM to avoid long lines.
Allan's Gardens
Don Valley Brick Works

If you're bringing kids, I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks. The cafe can get pricey and is often super busy!

Make sure to wear comfy shoes becuase you'll be doing a lot of walking and exploring! The trails can be a bit uneven.

don’t forget your camera! the views are stunning, especially at sunset. i think it’s the perfect spot for some instagram-worthy shots.

Check out the local art exhibits if you're into that. They often showcase really awesome talents, and it's free!
Edwards Gardens

Parking can be tricky, so I recommend using public transit if you can. It's more economical and you won’t waste time searching for a spot.

I suggest you visit Edwards Gardens in the early morning, around 9 AM, when it's quieter and the light for photos is perfect. You’ll get some amazing shots without the crowd!

Grab a coffee at the café before you start exploring. It's a great spot to relax, and you can enjoy your drink while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Trinity Bellwoods Park

Check out the farmers' market if you visit on a Tuesday or Sunday morning. Fresh local food and unique finds are great, and it’s a fun vibe!

If you want to avoid the crowds, try going on a weekday morning. I found it peaceful and way easier to find a nice spot to relax!

Don't forget your camera! The park has some seriously Insta-worthy spots, especially near the iconic gates. Trust me, you’ll want those pics!
Ashbridge's Bay

Don’t forget your snacks! There aren't many food options right there so grabbing some goodies before you head in is a smart idea.

My advice is to bring your bike if you can... The paths around Ashbridge's Bay are awesome and biking is a fun way to see more of the area!

i recommend exploring the eastern trails. they feel a bit more secluded and give you some peaceful moments away from the crowd.
