Joaquin Antonio Uribe Botanical Garden

don’t skip the orchid collection! it’s stunning and worth the visit. i almost missed it, but trust me, it's a highlight.

I recommend taking the free guided tour if you can. The guides really know their stuff and it makes the experience so much more enriching!
Savaneta Park

Make sure to visit early, around 8 AM, to enjoy the peaceful vibe before the crowds roll in and get great photo ops without people in the background.

Don't skip the food carts nearby! I tried some local street food that was honestly better than some restaurants and super inexpensive.

Wear comfortable shoes – the paths can be uneven, and you want to explore without worrying about sore feet later on.

Keep an eye out for free events on the park's social media; I stumbled upon an awesome live music session by chance.
Desires Park

Check out the view from the lookout point around sunset. The colors are just breathtaking! I did this and it was totally worth the chill wait.

Do wear comfortable shoes. Some parts of the park have uneven paths and you don't want to be tripping around while enjoying the scenery.

I suggest bringing a picnic! The park has some really nice spots to chill and enjoy some food. You can save money by grabbing some snacks from local shops before going in.
I recommend visiting during the week to avoid the crowds. I went on a Saturday, and it felt a bit packed, which took away from the experience.
Arvi Park

Don’t forget to download an offline map if you can. The reception in some trails can be spotty, and you don’t want to get lost.

I think the cable car ride is a must-do. But try to get there by 8 AM to avoid the long lines and enjoy the view in peace.
El Poblado Park

Don't forget to bring some snacks! There are no food vendors in the park, so my advice is to pack a little picnic to enjoy while taking in the views.

I recommend visiting El Poblado Park in the early morning, like around 8 AM. It’s way quieter then, and you can really enjoy the beauty without the crowds.

I suggest checking the weather before you go. It can rain out of nowhere, so keeping an eye on the forecast saves you from getting soaked!

I think it’s a great idea to wear comfy shoes. The paths can get a little uneven, and you’ll want to stroll around without any pain.
Medellin River Parks
If you want to save some cash, bring your own water and snacks. The prices in the park can be a bit steep for drinks, especially when you’re thirsty after walking around.

Don’t forget your camera! The views along the river and the parks are stunning, and I regret not capturing more moments when I was there.

Make sure to take a bike ride along the river! I rented one at a kiosk for just a few bucks, and it was such a fun way to see more of the area.
Lieras Park

Bring some cash for the little vendors selling snacks and drinks inside the park. They have some delicius arepas that are way cheaper than in stores.

Watch out for the weather! It can change quickly. Bringing a small umbrella or poncho can save you from getting drenched unexpectedly.

I think the view from the top of the park is beutiful, so make sure you hike up there. It’s a great photo op and a nice resting spot.

I recommend visiting Lieras Park in the morning, around 8 AM, when it's less crowded and the weather is cooler. Perfect time for a nice stroll!
Berrio Park

I suggest visiting in the early morning, around 8 AM, to enjoy the park before it gets crowded. It's more peaceful and gives you a chance to relax and take great photos.

If you want to save money I recommend taking the metro to the Berrio station. It's super cheap and efficient compared to taxis.

I suggest visiting the nearby plaza to enjoy additional street performances. The vibe is totally different, and you'll catch some local culture there, especially in the afternoon!

My advice is to keep an eye on your belongings. While the park felt safe, like in any city, it's smart to stay alert and avoid showing valuables.
Park Plays Descalsos

I suggest bringing a reusable water bottle. There are fountains around, which can help save some money on drinks while keeping you hydrated

I think you should check out the local food stalls outside the park. The prices are way better than the eatery inside, and the local flavors are fantastic!

If you can, visit on a weekday. The crowd levels are much lower, and you can fully enjoy the tranquility of the place without feeling rushed or jostled around.

My advice is to carry a small backpack for your essentials. It's super convenient to just grab what you need and not have to carry a purse around while exploring.
Park Conservation

Take your time in the butterfly exhibit. It was a highlight for me, and I almost rushed through it. Stay and enjoy the beauty; it’s totally worth it.

Get there right when it opens at 9 AM. It’s less crowded and you can see all the animals without the rush. Worth waking up early!

Check out the animal feeding schedule posted near the entrance. I got to see some cool stuff when I timed it right. Don’t miss it!

Wear comfortable shoes. I did a lot of walking and my feet were sore by the end of the day. Flip-flops won’t cut it here.
