Make sure to wear good shoes to avoid slipping, I saw a few people struggling with their footwear on the trails. I recommend sturdy sneakers or biking shoes if you have them.
I recommend downloading a trail map on your phone if the weather is poor. My phone lost signal, and I got a bit lost at one point!
Try to go during the weekdays, the weekend crowd can be huge! I went on a Wednesday, and there were way fewer people on the trails.

If you're renting bikes, check for rental deals at local shops instead of the higher prices at tourist spots. I saved a good chunk by doing this.

Consider buying your tickets online before you go. It saves you time in line and can sometimes give you a discount, which I definitely appreciated after spending a bit more than I planned on food inside.
