When it comes to food, eat where the locals go. I found an amazing seafood place called La Vista that was way cheaper than the touristy spots and a million times better.

Definitely try to catch the sunset at about 6 PM. It's totally stunning and a perfect backdrop for photos! I regretted not being there a bit earlier to grab a good spot.

I recommend staying in a hostal close to the beach. It can save you a lot on taxi rides! I stayed a little further out and wished I hadn't because it was a hassle walking back late at night.

If you're planning to surf, check out the local surf schools. They have great deals! I found one that offered lessons and board rental for way less than expected, saving me a ton.
