Wear comfy shoes. The zoo is larger than it appears, and there's a lot of walking involved. I regretted my choice of footwear halfway through.

Check out the feeding times for the big cats and elephants. It's a real highlight and you'll definitely want to see those moments up close.

Bring your own snacks and drinks! The zoo's cafe can be pricey and the food options are pretty limited. Plus, picnics in the open areas are nice!
