Esplanade Park

Bring a light snack and find a bench to enjoy your own little picnic. I did this and it was so much nicer than waiting in line at a cafe

Wear comfortable shoes! You'll want to stroll the paths and explore the surrounding area, so be prepared for a bit of walking.
Helsinki Zoo

The zoo is quite spread out, so wear comfy shoes. I underestimated how much walking I’d be doing. My feet were killing me by the end of the day!

If you're visiting during the summer, bring a picnic. I found the food prices a bit steep, and there are plenty of nice spots to sit and enjoy your own snacks

Plan your visit around feeding times for the animals if you want to catch them being active! I saw a lot less action during midday when they were napping.
Check the schedule for any special animal talks or sessions before you go. I stumbled upon one by chance, and it was really informative and made my visit even better.
Kaivopuisto
my advice is to wear comfy shoes. the park is pretty large, and you might find yourself walking a lot. trust me, blisters are not fun when you're trying to enjoy the scenery.

If you’re into bungee jumping, check the opening times in advance because it might close early, especially if the weather's not great. I was super bummed when I missed out because I didn’t check ahead.
I think you should grab a picnic from a local store and chill on the grass by the water. The views are awesome and it's way more relaxing than a crowded café. Just be prepared for seagulls to steal your snacks!
Sibelius Park

I suggest visiting in the early morning around 8 AM. The park is much quieter then, so you can enjoy the sculptures and nature without too many people around. Plus, the lighting is fantastic for photos!
Helsinki Botanical Garden
Sea Life Helsinki

Grab your tickets online before you go. It saved me a bunch of time waiting in line and there are often discounts for advance purchases

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. The crowds were way lighter, and I could really enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed.
Helsinki Winter Garden
Sipoonkorpi National Park

If you're into cycling, bring your bike. The trails are super bike-friendly, and renting a bike can save you some money instead of going for a guided tour that might cost you an arm and a leg.

I suggest packing a good lunch and plenty of water. There are some nice spots to chill and have a picnic and trust me food always tastes better surrounded by nature!
