Eiffel Tower

I recommend taking the stairs to the second level if you're up for it! It saved me some time and it felt great to actually climb the tower.

My advice is to explore the area around the Eiffel Tower after your visit. You can find some cute cafes and shops that are less touristy.

Dress for the weather, especially if you plan to go to the top. I was not ready for that chilly wind up there and it dampened the experience a bit.

I suggest getting your tickets online a day in advance to avoid those long lines. I thought I could just show up, but wow, the wait was crazy!
Triumphal Arch

My advice is to visit in the morning around 9 am. It was way less crowded and I could snap photos without tons of people in the background. Super nice!

If you're into history, take a moment to read the inscriptions on the arch itself. They tell some pretty cool stories that make the visit way more interesting!

Finally, don’t forget to check out the beautiful roundabout in front. It’s not just a crazy traffic circle; the design and fountains make it a lovely spot to relax.
Basilica of the Sacre Coeur

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! The steps leading to the basilica can be steep, and you'll want to explore the beautiful area around it.

i would suggest checking if there are any special events happening when you're visiting. i stumbled upon a choir performance, and it was the highlight of my trip!

I recommend bringing a water bottle. There are some fountains nearby, but it can get hot in summer, and you’ll want to stay hydrated while exploring.
Definitely take some time to walk around the Montmartre area. There’s so much art and quirky shops – you’ll miss a lot if you rush right in to the basilica.
Notre-Dame

I suggest bringing a refillable water bottle. There are plenty of fountains nearby, and staying hydrated while touring the area is super important.

I learned the hard way that some spots have no shade. I wish I had brought a cap or sunscreen. Just be prepaired for the sun if you’re visiting in summer.

I recommend visiting Notre-Dame in the early morning, around 8 AM. It’s way less crowded, and you really get to enjoy the details of the architecture without the hustle and bustle.

My advice is to look for free walking tours. They usually cover Notre-Dame and are a great way to learn history without spending too much money.
Concorde Square

Be mindful of the traffic; it's hectic around Concorde Square. Take your time crossing the streets to stay safe while soaking in the views.

Don’t forget to explore the history of the statues and monuments around the square. A quick search on your phone can enrich your experience tremendously.

Bring a light snack or drink with you. There aren't many affordable options nearby, and it's nice to sit on one of the benches and just enjoy the view.
Center Georges Pompidou

Check the museum's schedule for free entry days. I found out there’s a day every month when entry is totally free, which was awesome!

You can get a discount if you buy tickets online in advance. I saved a few euros and skipped the long ticket line by doing this!
Palace of Justice

I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The cobblestones can be tricky and you'll want to walk around and take in all the details without discomfort.

I suggest grabbing a quick coffee at a nearby café before your visit. It makes the experience much more relaxing and gives you a moment to soak in the atmosphere.

Be prepared for security checks! They can be a bit slow, so save time by arriving a little early; around 10-15 minutes is usually sufficient.
Pantheon

If you want to save money, combine your ticket with another attraction like the nearby Luxembourg Gardens. You can buy a combo ticket at a discount. I wish I’d done this!

I suggest bringing some snacks or a sandwich. There’s not a ton of food options nearby and this way you can chill out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without feeling rushed.

Make sure to grab a free audio guide. It gives you great insights into the history and architecture without having to pay for a pricey tour. I loved listening to it while wandering around!
Tomb of Napoleon

I'd recommend heading to the café nearby for a quick snack afterward. It was a nice way to relax and reflect on the visit without spending too much.

Make sure to set aside at least an hour to fully appreciate the tomb and the nearby museum exhibits. I thought I could breeze through but ended up spending more time than expected!

Check out the stunning ceiling artwork as you enter. I nearly missed it because I was too focused on the tomb itself!

Grab a Paris Museum Pass if you're planning to visit multiple attractions. It saved me quite a bit and lets you skip some lines, which is a huge plus!
Alexander III Bridge

Try to visit during sunset. The colors reflecting off the Seine and the intricate details of the bridge are breathtaking. Plus, it's less crowded!

I suggest visiting in the early morning around 8 AM. The light is beautiful, and it’s super quiet, which makes for some amazing photos and a peaceful experience.

Bring a camera or your smartphone with a decent zoom. Some details might be hard to appreciate from afar, and you’ll want those close-ups!

If you're on a budget, grab a picnic from a nearby boulangerie and enjoy it on the grassy banks of the Seine right next to the bridge. It's a perfect view!
