City of Wine
I suggest checking out the little wine shop inside the City of Wine before you leave. They have cool stuff at prices way better than souvenir shops in the city.
Place de la Bourse
I think parking can be tricky, so try using public transportation. Tram lines 1 and 2 can get you close without the hassle.
Bring a picnic! It's super nice to grab some local goodies and enjoy them by the water. You can save money instead of eating at restaurants.
My advice is to explore the surrounding area, like the nearby Place des Quinconces. The vibe changes and it gives you more to see without much extra time!
The Grand Theater
Bordeaux Cathedral
Betasom
I recommend bringing your own water bottle, as there's limited drink options once you're inside. It saves money and keeps you hydrated while exploring.
Grosse Cloche
Don’t skip the small shops and cafes around the Grosse Cloche. I found this cute little bakery nearby that had amazing croissants. A perfect spot to recharge!
Palace Gate
Take some time to explore the surrounding area, there's some amazing street art nearby. I stumbled upon some really cool murals that I wouldn’t have found otherwise!
Be aware that sometimes there are events or festivals happening, and it can get pretty loud. Check the local calendar before you go if you're after peace and quiet. I didn't realize and it got kinda chaotic!
Basilique Saint-Michel
Try to visit early in the morning, around 9 AM, to beat the crowds. The light streaming through the stained glass is beautiful and you can take your time exploring the details without feeling rushed.
