Grande Mer Beach
I suggest checking out the nearby fish market before hitting the beach. I found some fresh seafood that was delicious for a picnic. Just don’t forget to bring some extra napkins, it can get messy!
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The cafes nearby are pretty pricey, and I ended up spending way more than I planned just on lunch. A little prep goes a long way
Arena Beach
If you want good spots, get there by 10 AM. We arrived just after noon and it was packed! We struggled to find a place on the sand, and it was so hot with no shade.
Check the local weather before you go. It looked fine on the app, but we got caught in a sudden rain shower later in the afternoon, which cut our day short. A quick peek at the skies can save you from getting soaked!
i recommend bringing your own beach towels and snacks. the beach bar prices are a bit steep, and we ended up spending way more than we planned on food and drinks. pack some sandwiches!
Corton Beach
If you're planning to swim, go early, like around 8 AM. It's way less crowded and the water is clearer. Plus, you might get to snag a good spot without fighting for space! Trust me, you'll enjoy the tranquility.
i recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks. beachside cafes are fun but can get pricey. i ended up spending way too much on a simple sandwich—next time, i'd pack a picnic for sure!
