My advice is to book your canoe in advance online. We thought we could just walk in, but it was super busy and we ended up waiting a while.

I recommend checking the weather before you go! We showed up on a rainy day and it made things less fun. Bring a light rain jacket just in case!

Don't forget to bring your own snacks. The little cafe there is fine, but it can be pricey for what they offer. I felt like I could've saved a few bucks if I brought some food from home.

If you're planning to visit, I'd say come on a weekday afternoon; it tends to be way less crowded than weekends. Trust me, you'll have more space to enjoy and less waiting time for the kids.
