Zwinger

If you're on a budget, look for combination tickets that include the Zwinger and other museums. I saved quite a bit this way!

Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here if you really want to take it all in. I underestimated and rushed through some exhibits.

I recommend starting your visit right when it opens at 10 AM to avoid the crowds. I went later and it was packed!
German Museum of Hygiene

Don’t forget to visit the rooftop terrace for some fantastic views of Dresden. It's a great spot for photos and a moment of relaxation!
Grab a coffee at the museum café. It's cozy and gives you a nice break from all the exhibits—pretty good prices too!

I recommend downloading the museum app. It has cool audio guides and interactive maps that really enhance your experience.
Dresden Panometer
Military History Museum

Pro tip: wear comfy shoes! The place is huge, and if you plan on exploring all the floors, your feet will thank you later. Trust me, you don’t want to be limping around by the end!

my advice is to check out the temporary exhibitions... they sometimes have really cool stuff that you won't see in the main collection, and it might be a unique perspective on military history... don't miss it

I suggest getting there right when it opens at 10 AM. The place gets super crowded by noon, and you’ll have a much quieter experience early on. Plus, you can snap some good pics without tons of people in the background.
Transport Museum
Green Vault

Book your tickets online before visiting; the lines can be long and you'll save time. Plus they often have discounts for online purchases!

Consider visiting in the late afternoon, around 4 PM. It was much less crowded, and I could enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed.

If you can, spend some time in the nearby areas after your visit; there's great coffee and nice parks perfect for relaxing
Albertinum
I recommend checking out the special exhibits first – they often have some amazing pieces that aren't part of the permanent collection, and you won't want to miss those.

I think visiting on a Tuesday or Wednesday is best; it's less crowded, and you can enjoy the artwork without feeling rushed or jostled by big groups

My advice is to grab the combo ticket if you plan to visit other museums nearby. It saves you some cash, and it's a smooth way to see more of Dresden!
