Zwinger

Don’t forget to explore the gardens and smaller courtyards; they’re super peaceful and often overlooked by many visitors!

If you're on a budget, look for combination tickets that include the Zwinger and other museums. I saved quite a bit this way!

Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here if you really want to take it all in. I underestimated and rushed through some exhibits.

I recommend starting your visit right when it opens at 10 AM to avoid the crowds. I went later and it was packed!
Frauenkirhe

If you’re a photography geek like me, try snapping pics at sunset. The light hitting the church walls is mesmerizing. I wish I’d stayed longer for better shots.

Be sure to take the elevator up to the dome! The view of Dresden from up there is breathtaking. Just make sure to check the operating hours though, as they can change.

Plan to stay for the organ concert if you can. It’s a unique experience and you can often buy tickets on the spot. I wish I’d known this before my visit!
I found an awesome little café just around the corner for lunch, Café Aha. It’s way cheaper than the touristy spots and the sandwiches are delish! My advice is to grab a bite there afterward.
Moritzburg Castle
Golden Rider

If you have time, take a leisurely stroll along the Elbe River after visiting... I think it really complements the whole experience and offers beautiful views of the city!

I suggest going early in the morning, around 9 AM, to beat the crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Plus, the lighting's pretty great for photos!

I recommend bringing a good camera or your smartphone with a high-res camera. The details on the Golden Rider statue are stunning, and you won't want to miss capturing them!
German Museum of Hygiene

Try to visit on a Wednesday if you can. The crowd was lighter when I went, plus it’s a great day for some special activities

Check for temporary exhibits before your visit. I missed a cool one that was only there for a month—totally bummed!

Don’t forget to visit the rooftop terrace for some fantastic views of Dresden. It's a great spot for photos and a moment of relaxation!
Grab a coffee at the museum café. It's cozy and gives you a nice break from all the exhibits—pretty good prices too!
Palace-Residence
Pilnitz Palace-Castle
Blue Miracle

I recommend visiting Blue Miracle in the early afternoon, around 2 PM. It’s less crowded then, and you can really enjoy the stunning architecture without feeling rushed.

Afterward, grab a snack at one of the cafes nearby. They offer local treats that won’t break the bank and it’s a nice way to relax after exploring.

Make sure to bring your camera. The detailing is incredible and you'll want to capture every angle. Just keep an eye out for the light, as it can make for some beautiful shots
Dresden Panometer
Kunsthof Dresden

Take time to just wander around and enjoy the vibe. The courtyards can be peaceful spots to relax and people-watch without any rush. Don’t just stick to the main attractions!

Check out the little shops and cafes in the area after exploring the architecture. They have unique handmade goods and tasty snacks that won't break the bank. I found some lovely souvenirs here!

Try to visit during weekdays if you can. The weekend crowds can be overwhelming, and you’ll have a much better experience without all the hustle and bustle. I really enjoyed my quiet stroll on a Tuesday!

Wear comfortable shoes! The cobblestone streets might be charming, but they can be tough on your feet after a long day of wandering. I learned this the hard way!
