Architecture in Mumbai:
Gateway Of India Mumbai
Shri Siddhi Vinayak Ganapati Mandir
To save time, I suggest checking if there are any special poojas happening before your visit. You might get to experience something unique if you plan it right!
I think it’s a good idea to wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be on your feet a lot and the floors can get a bit slippery with all the foot traffic.
I recommend bringing some cash for offerings. They don’t take cards for the little things like flowers or sweets, and you'll want to show your devotion with something!
Queen's Necklace - Marine Drive
Mahalakshmi Temple
Try to avoid weekends if you can. I went on a Sunday and it was super packed. Save yourself some headache and go on a weekday.
Check out the side temples first before you hit the main one. I found them quieter and less crowded, plus you get to enjoy some peaceful moments.
International Society for Krishna Consciousness
Fort Bandra
I suggest bringing your own water and snacks. There’s not much around, and you don’t want to waste time searching for food or drinks while exploring!
I think you should wear comfortable shoes. The fort has some uneven surfaces, and you’ll want to explore all the nooks without tiring out your feet too quick.
Flora Fountain
Babulnath Temple
Keep an eye on your belongings! Some spots can get crowded and you might not realize if you're being bumped into. I had a close call myself!
I suggest taking your time to appreciate the intricate architecture. Don't rush! I missed some cool details rushing through to meet my friends.
Mumba Devi Temple
Snap your photos outside the temple rather than inside. Photography is not allowed inside to maintain the sanctity, and the architecture looks stunning from the outside anyway!
Basilica of Our Lady of the Mountain
Take some time to explore the surrounding areas, especially the gardens and little shops. I stumbled upon some unique handmade souvenirs that made for great gifts.
Wear comfortable footwear! The grounds have a mix of old flooring and some uneven paths. It's easy to get distracted by the beauty and forget to watch your step.
