Elephanta Caves
Sanjay Gandhi National Park
Check the local bus schedules if you're using public transport. They can be a bit unpredictable, so having a backup plan can save you a lot of time.
Definitely try to visit during the morning, around 8 AM. The park is way less crowded, and you can enjoy the peace and quiet while spotting wildlife.
If you're planning to hike to the Kanheri Caves, wear comfy shoes and carry water. It can get pretty steamy, and you'll want to stay hydrated.
My advice is to explore the outskirts of the park too. Some of the less-trodden paths offer unique views and fewer people.
Juhu Chowpatty
The beach can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends. I suggest visiting on a weekday if you want to chill and enjoy the vibe more peacefully.
If you can, hit up Juhu Chowpatty in the evening around 5 PM. The sunset views are totally worth it, and you'll avoid the crazy midday heat.
Juu Beach
Check out the local stalls for beachwear or souvenirs – I found some cute items at much lower prices than in tourist shops.
If you’re hungry, try the street food stalls near the beach. The pav bhaji and bhel puri are delicious and really affordable. Don’t miss out!
Shivaji Park
Pack some snacks or a picnic. There aren’t many food stalls inside, and it’s nice to chill on the grass with some homemade treats when you're exploring!
If you're into photography, golden hour is magical here. Sunrise or sunset (around 6:30 PM) gives you the perfect lighting for those Insta shots.
Hanging Gardens Mumbai
Aksa Beach
pack your own snacks and drinks! the beach shacks can be overpriced, and having your own picnic makes it feel like a proper day out without breaking the bank.
If you wanna take a dip, go for the morning. The water felt cleaner and less crowded early on. Just be cautious of the waves in the afternoons; they can get pretty rough
Get there before 7 AM to catch the stunning sunrise - it’s worth waking up early! Plus, you'll beat the crowds and have a more peaceful experience.
Gergaum Chowpatty
I recommend visiting during sunset! The view is just stunning, and it’s less crowded around 6 PM. Grab a quick snap for your Instagram – you won't regret it!
Kanheri
My advice is to wear comfortable walking shoes! You're going to be climbing up and down quite a bit, and trust me, flip flops are not your best friend here!
Prayadarshini Park
I found the park clean and peaceful, but some benches could use a little TLC. If you want to chill, find the newer benches – they’re more comfy!
My advice is to check the weather before going; it can get super hot, especially in the afternoon, so an umbrella or hat could save the day!
Definitely bring your own water and snacks. The cafes there are kinda pricey, and you don’t wanna waste time searching for cheap eats.
