Wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot, and the floors can be a bit uneven. I wish I had worn my sneakers instead of sandals – my feet were sore after!

If you want a good view of the mosque, head up to the tower around 4 PM. The sunset views are breathtaking, and it’s such a gorgeous site to end your visit!

Bring your own bottle of water. It's easy to get thirsty wandering around, and buying drinks inside can add up – I ended up spending more than planned!

Plan to arrive around 9 AM; it's less crowded then and you get those amazing morning light shots! Plus, the temperature is way cooler before noon.
