If you're into shopping, try to check out the small markets nearby. They have unique souvenirs that are actually decent in price, compared to the touristy stuff.
When you’re on the bridge, check out the side views. They’re breathtaking, and you can snap some romantic shots with the canals.
St. Mark's Square
My advice is to check out the free live music performances in the evening. It turned out to be a wonderful surprise and added to the romantic atmosphere!
If you're on a budget, skip the fancy cafes; I found a cozy little bakery nearby with amazing pastries for way less. Treat yourself without breaking the bank!
My advice is to try and catch the sunset view over the Basilica. I was blown away by how romantic it felt and the lights really added a nice touch.
Don’t forget to bring a camera for those stunning architecture shots! Just beware of the occasional pigeon flock. I learned that the hard way!
St. Mark's Cathedral
Bridge of Sighs
Academy Bridge
Don't just rush across the bridge. Take time to explore the area around it! There are hidden gems like quaint shops and beautiful canals just a short stroll away.
Santa Maria Della Salute
Cathedral of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari
Take a few moments to admire the ornate ceiling and high altars. One of the best experiences was just sitting on a bench and soaking in the historic vibe. Trust me, it's worth it!
Consider buying a Venice Card if you plan to visit multiple attractions. It can save you some cash and usually gives you quicker entry, plus it's a good way to support local culture!
Arsenal of Venice
I totally recommend visiting in the morning around 9 am. It gets pretty crowded later, and you'll have better pics without tourists in the background.
Check the prices before you go – we ended up buying a combo ticket that saved us a few euros since it included access to a few other sites too.
