Bring your own water bottle! There are few spots to sit and hydrate, plus buying drinks can add up quickly. I suggest filling up before you go in.
National Museum of Nature and Science

If you're on a budget, try visiting on a weekday. The entrance fee is lower at certain times, plus it wasn't as crowded when I went on a Tuesday – much better for photos!

Don't skip the IMAX theater! The ticket was a little extra, but honestly, it was worth it. I caught an amazing nature film that was visually stunning.

If you're planning to spend the whole day, grab your lunch at the on-site cafe! They have some tasty options, so you won’t have to waste time searching for food elsewhere. I really enjoyed their curry rice.

I suggest downloading the museum's app before you go. It has a map and helpful info about the exhibits. I had the paper map, but the app was way more useful!
TeamLab Borderless

I suggest you book your tickets online to save time. The lines can get super long, and I saw folks waiting for ages! Right after I booked, I just walked right in.

I recommend checking out their pop-up events on their website. I stumbled upon one while I was there, and it added so much to the experience! It felt spontaneous and fun!

My advice is to go on a weekday, especially between 2 PM and 4 PM, when it’s way less crowded. We went on a Thursday, and it was such a bliss!

If you're into photography, plan to spend time in the 'Forest of Light' area. It’s stunning! But get there early before it fills up with people trying to snap pics.

If you're planning to eat at the cafe, I think you should bring snacks instead. The food was fine, but the prices were a bit too high for what you get, honestly.

I suggest hitting the museum around 10 AM as soon as it opens. The crowds get crazy later, and you can take your time exploring the exhibits without feeling rushed.

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot and I wished I had brought my sneakers instead of sandals. Trust me, your feet will thank you!

I recommend checking out the special exhibitions online before your visit. Some exhibits have extra fees, and knowing what's there might help you plan your budget better.
National Museum for the Development of Science and Innovation

Don’t skip the rooftop garden! It’s a peaceful spot to relax after exploring inside, and the views of Tokyo are so worth it. I almost missed it!

Check out the special exhibits first before they get too crowded - I missed a cool one because I spent too long at the main exhibits.

If you can, visit on a weekday morning. The crowds are much smaller, and you can really take your time enjoying the exhibits. I went on a Saturday and it felt too packed!

Grab the audio guide! It adds a lot of depth to the experience, and it’s usually included in the entry fee. It was super helpful to understand the context behind the displays

Bring your own water bottle! They have a few spots with fountains, and it'll save you a few bucks instead of buying drinks there.

Make sure to charge your phone before you go! The light shows and installations are super Instagrammable. You’ll want to snap a ton of pics.
I recommend checking out the little gift shop after your visit. There are unique souvenirs that you won't find anywhere else, and some are reasonably priced!

My advice is to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You'll be walking through different installations, and trust me, you don't want to be uncomfortable.
National Museum of Western Art
Fujiko F Fujio Museum

I recommend checking out the museum's cafe – their themed snacks were a delight! But yes, prices can be a bit high, so maybe just grab a small treat.

I think the museum has a lot to take in, so don't rush through everything. I felt a little overwhelmed and wished I had taken it slower to really enjoy the art and stories.

i suggest you book your ticket online a few weeks in advance. this way, you won't waste time standing in line, plus it can save you a few bucks if there’s a promo!
