Sensoji

If you're into photography, I recommend shooting around sunset. The temple is breathtaking, and the lighting adds a magical touch. Trust me, you'll want those pics!

I suggest planning your visit on a weekday early in the morning, around 8 AM. It gets really crowded, especially on weekends, and I loved exploring without bumping into tons of people.

Make sure to grab a few omikuji (fortune slips) at the main hall. It's a fun experience, but make sure to read how to tie them up properly afterwards!

When you’re walking through Nakamise Street, be sure to try some fresh melon bread! It was a delicious treat, but I regretted not bringing some back for later
Tokyo National Museum
National Museum of Nature and Science

If you're on a budget, try visiting on a weekday. The entrance fee is lower at certain times, plus it wasn't as crowded when I went on a Tuesday – much better for photos!

Don't skip the IMAX theater! The ticket was a little extra, but honestly, it was worth it. I caught an amazing nature film that was visually stunning.

If you're planning to spend the whole day, grab your lunch at the on-site cafe! They have some tasty options, so you won’t have to waste time searching for food elsewhere. I really enjoyed their curry rice.

I suggest downloading the museum's app before you go. It has a map and helpful info about the exhibits. I had the paper map, but the app was way more useful!
Meiji Shrine
TeamLab Borderless

I suggest you book your tickets online to save time. The lines can get super long, and I saw folks waiting for ages! Right after I booked, I just walked right in.

I recommend checking out their pop-up events on their website. I stumbled upon one while I was there, and it added so much to the experience! It felt spontaneous and fun!

My advice is to go on a weekday, especially between 2 PM and 4 PM, when it’s way less crowded. We went on a Thursday, and it was such a bliss!

If you're into photography, plan to spend time in the 'Forest of Light' area. It’s stunning! But get there early before it fills up with people trying to snap pics.
Imperial Palace

I recommend visiting the East Gardens in the morning, around 9 AM. It’s way less crowded, and you can enjoy the peace before the tour groups arrive.

I think you should plan to explore the surrounding areas, like Chidorigafuchi, for stunning views and cherry blossoms if you visit in spring. It’s a perfect add-on to your palace visit!

I suggest checking the weather before your visit. If it rains, the gardens can be slippery and less enjoyable. Bring a waterproof jacket just in case!

My advice is to bring your own drinks and snacks. The cafes near the Imperial Palace can be a bit pricey, and having your picnic in the gardens is so much more fun!
