Top Beaches in Playa del Carmen

I suggest wearing water shoes. The sand is beautiful but there are some rocky areas in the water that can hurt your feet, trust me I learned the hard way!

I think checking out the seaweed reports before you head out can save you some disappointment. I visited when it was heavy and it definitely took away from the gorgeous views!

If you’re thinking about renting a spot with a beach bed, haggle a bit! I was quoted 300 pesos at first but got it down to 200 after a friendly chat. Don’t shy away from negotiating!

My advice is to go around 7 am. The sunrise is stunning and it's way less crowded then. You'll get those perfect beach pics without strangers photobombing you!
