Top Beaches in Tulum

Check the seaweed situation before you go. I went in July and the beach had a lot of it. It didn't ruin my fun, but I wish I'd known in advance! September is usually better for that, tho.

Check out the beach clubs for loungers and good food, but be aware they often have a min spend requirement. I found one spot where a few beach chairs cost me less than a full meal elsewhere. Happy hour deals are a thing, so look for those!

If you’re into snorkeling, take the short trip to Akumal. You can see sea turtles for free (but a guided tour is great if you want to swim with them without worrying).

I recommend using cash for small purchases to avoid credit card fees at some places. You don’t want to get hit with unexpected charges!
