If you're wanting to save some cash, check online for any discount codes or combo tickets. I found a deal that included a few other museums, which worked out great
I recommend visiting early in the morning, like around 9 AM, to beat the crowds. It was much quieter then, and I could soak in the artwork without feeling rushed.
Lauwman Museum
Escher Museum
If you're an art lover, I recommend setting aside at least 2 hours. There's so much to take in and moving fast means you'll miss the little details!
If you're on a budget, consider bringing your own snacks. There are nice places to sit but the cafe can get pricey for just coffee and a pastry.
The Hague City Museum
Don't miss the gift shop! I found some unique souvenirs there, but make sure to compare prices. I saw the same stuff cheaper at other shops around the city.
If you can, visit on a Tuesday morning. It was way less crowded, and I could enjoy the exhibits at my own pace. Really made a difference!
I recommend grabbing the audio guide. It’s super informative and only a few euros. Helps you learn so much more about the art without breaking the bank.
My advice is to check out the temporary exhibitions. I stumbled upon one during my visit and it was the highlight! So much more engaging than the permanent collection.
