San Francisco Convent and Catacombs Museum

If you're on a budget, I suggest packing a snack. There are few good places around and food in the area can be pricey, plus you want to keep exploring!

Check out the museum right when it opens at 9 AM. I went later and the crowds were crazy, so early birds definitely get the worm here!

My advice is to join the tour that includes the catacombs. I didn't and missed out on some great stories and details that would have made it even cooler.
Larco Museum
Peruvian National Museum of Archaeology

I suggest getting there early, like around 9 AM, to avoid the crowds. It makes exploring the exhibits way more enjoyable without all the people jostling around.

I think you should take your time with the audio guides. They really add a ton of context to the artifacts, and you'll get the most out of your visit. Don't rush!

If you're planning to grab a snack, skip the cafe inside. It's kind of pricey and the options aren't great. There's a nice place just outside the museum with better food!
The Natural History Museum

I suggest allocating at least 2-3 hours for the visit. I rushed through the first half and regreted it later because I really wanted to take in more details.

Make sure to bring a water bottle! I ended up buying one at the cafe for way too much, and trust me, skipping those overpriced snacks is worth it.

Check the calendar for special exhibitions before you go. I missed a limited exhibit by just a couple of days, and I think it would have made my visit even better.
Gold Museum

i recommend visiting on a weekday. it was way less crowded when i went on a tuesday, so i could take my time studying the exhibits without rush.

I think spending some time in the museum's gift shop is worth it! They have unique souvenirs, and the prices are reasonable compared to other spots in the city.

My advice is to check out local eateries before or after your visit. There are amazing spots nearby that won't break the bank and can give you a taste of authentic Peruvian cuisine
