Bring a light snack or some water with you. The cafes inside can get pricey and there are limited options nearby. I ended up spending more than I planned!

I recommend visiting early in the morning around 9 AM, the crowds are much smaller and you can really enjoy the architecture without feeling rushed. Plus, the light is perfect for photos!

Don't skip the changing of the guard ceremony, it’s a cool experience! Just check the schedule, it can be easy to miss if you're not paying attention.

If you're planning to take lots of pics, make sure to check for the best angles beforehand. I felt like I missed out a bit on capturing the beauty of certain spots!
Deoksugung

Try to time your visit for late afternoon, around 4 PM... The light is amazing for photos and you can enjoy the peaceful vibes as the day wraps up

I suggest wearing comfy shoes. The place is bigger than it looks, and you’ll want to wander around the beautiful gardens and buildings without aching feet.
Don't miss the changing of the guard ceremony scheduled at 11 AM and 2 PM. It’s really cool, but be sure to grab a good spot 10-15 minutes early for the best view!

If you're short on cash, consider the combo ticket for Deoksugung and the nearby National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. It saves you a few won!
Changdeokgung Palace

Dress comfortably because you’ll be doing a bit of walking. I wore sandals which wasn't great for all the ups and downs around the palace. Next time, I'll choose proper shoes!

Pack some snacks or a light lunch. The cafe there is fine, but it can get a bit pricey and the choices are limited. I saved some money by bringing a sandwich!

Plan for at least 2-3 hours to explore everything. I underestimated how much there was to see and rushed through some areas! So take your time and enjoy each spot.

I suggest visiting on a weekday instead of the weekend... I went on a Saturday and it was super crowded, making it hard to enjoy everything... Weekdays are way quieter!

My advice is to grab some snacks before you enter. The food options were a bit pricey, and a picnic vibe in the courtyard can be a nice break!

I recommend checking if they have any special exhibits or events. I stumbled upon one that was super cool, but it would've been nice to plan ahead!

Don't forget to check out the gift shop! They have some unique souvenirs that you won’t find anywhere else. I kinda wish I had grabbed more items

My advice is to visit on a weekday, especially if you can swing a Tuesday or Wednesday. The crowds are much lighter, and you can really take your time soaking everything in.

I suggest getting the audio guide when you arrive; it adds so much to the experience and makes the exhibits way more interesting. Totally worth the extra couple of bucks!

I think trying to do everything in one go can be overwhelming. Plan to spend at least 3-4 hours there and take breaks to enjoy the café; their snacks are delish.
