I recommend trying to find local surf schools instead of the big names. They usually have better prices and are super friendly. I ended up saving quite a bit this way!

Bring your own snacks and drinks to the beach. Some kiosks charge ridiculous prices. I ended up spending way too much on sodas! A little thermos can go a long way.
