Museums in Madrid:
Prado National Museum
If you're on a budget, try to visit on weekends or free entry days! You can get in for free on certain nights, just check the schedule online before you go.
Look out for the short audio guides! They’re inexpensive and provide awesome insights into the most famous pieces—definitely helped enhance my experience.
Museum Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia
National Thyssen Museum
I suggest you grab the audio guide, it's super handy! It was like having a personal tour guide in my ears for the best artworks, and it made my experience way better.
I recommend visiting during late afternoons, like between 4 and 5 PM. It felt less crowded, and I could actually enjoy the art without bumping into too many people.
Crystal Palace
National Archaeological Museum
Kaisha Forum
House Museum of Joaquin Sorolla
Railway Museum
Next time, I would park at a nearby metro station instead of driving. Parking was a bit pricey and crowded; the metro is way more convenient and eco-friendly!
National Museum of Natural Sciences
National Museum of Romanticism
I found that the museum can get pretty crowded, so I suggest visiting right when it opens at 9:30 AM. You'll have the place mostly to yourself and can enjoy the art better.
I recommend planning at least an hour for your visit, but I ended up spending more time because I got really into the exhibits! Don't rush it, take your time.
My advice is to stop by the small café in the museum. I grabbed some coffee there, and it was super refreshing after wandering around!
