Don’t forget sunscreen. Even if the weather looks cloudy, I got a sunburn because I underestimated the sun's strength near the lake

Bring your own snacks and drinks. The prices at nearby concessions can be a bit steep, and there's a lovely picnic area for enjoying your packed lunch.
Geneva Botanical Garden

If you're into art, look for the sculptures spread around the garden. It was a nice touch that added to the charm of the place!

I suggest going on a weekday if you can. We went on a Saturday and it was kinda packed, but weekdays seem much quieter and more relaxed.

Don’t miss the Stone Garden – it was a hidden gem that we almost skipped. Beautiful views and a great spot for pics!

Check out the free entry! I was surprised to find out there’s no admission fee – perfect for saving those francs!
Park Grange

I think it’s worth wandering around to find the Roman ruins within the park. It adds a bit of history and is a nice surprise! Just look for the signs, they’re easy to miss.

I recommend bringing a nice picnic blanket and some snacks. There are plenty of great spots on the lawns to just chill and enjoy the views without spending a ton of cash

Make sure to check out the dog park if you’re bringing your furry friend! Just a heads up though, it's not fenced so keep them on a leash if they’re not well-trained.
Pearl du Lac park

I recommend wearing comfy shoes. There are lots of nice paths and trails, and I didn't think I’d be doing so much walking. By the end, my feet were sore!

You should definitely check out the public transport options to get there. It saved me a ton of time figuring out parking – which is hard to find and pricey!

I suggest bringing a picnic! The park has some lovely spots to chill and enjoy a meal and trust me it saves you a good bit of cash instead of eating out.

If you're a fan of photography, try to get there around 5 PM. The sunset views over the lake are to die for, but it gets super crowded earlier in the day!
Pointe de la Jonction

I recommend visiting around 4 PM when the sunset adds a magical glow to the river. You’ll get some amazing photos and it's less crowded, too!

My advice is to bring a picnic. There's a great spot right by the water where you can relax and enjoy a meal. It'll save you money and the view is beautiful.

I think if you walk along the left bank of the river you’ll find some hidden paths and less touristy spots. It's a bit off the main trail but totally worth it for the views
