National Museum of Natural Science

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! The museum is larger than it seems, and you'll be doing a lot of walking. sandals can be a bit tricky on the floors too.

I suggest checking out the science center part of the museum; it's super fun and interactive for all ages. Just don't skip over the lesser-known exhibits; they’re really interesting!

i recommend getting there right when it opens at 9 am to avoid the big crowds, especially at the popular exhibits. it makes for a much more relaxing experience!

If you're on a budget, look for discount passes for nearby attractions. I ended up saving a decent amount by visiting places with combo tickets.
National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

Check if there are any special exhibitions happening when you visit. I stumbled upon a fantastic temporary show that was included in the entrance fee, which added a lot to my visit!

Bring a water bottle. They have places to refill, and it’ll save you some cash instead of buying drinks inside. Plus, you'll stay hydrated while exploring!

Try to visit on a weekday if you can. The crowds were much thinner, and I really enjoyed taking my time looking at the pieces without rushing through!

Don't skip the gift shop! There's some unique art-inspired souvenirs that I didn’t expect to find. Just be aware some items can be pricier than you think
921 Earthquake Museum of Taiwan

Bring comfortable shoes! There’s so much to explore, and you'll be walking around a lot—definitely learned that the hard way.

I recommend getting the combo ticket that includes the 921 Earthquake Museum and the surrounding park—it saves a bit of money compared to buying them separately.

There’s a small coffee shop inside—grab a drink and take a break while looking at the views. I wish I had taken the time to relax there!
Taichung Literature Museum

Don't miss out on the lovely garden outside. I found it was a great spot to relax after seeing the exhibits, plus it offers some pretty awesome photo ops.

I suggest starting your visit in the early afternoon, around 1 PM. That way, you can spend enough time enjoying the exhibits without feeling rushed and still have a chance to grab a late lunch nearby.
Asia Museum of Modern Art

I suggest visiting on a Wednesday or Thursday morning; it’s much quieter, and you can enjoy the exhibits without the crowds. Plus, it feels more peaceful that way!

If you want to save some cash, check if they have any local discounts or free admission days. I stumbled upon a discount that made my visit way more affordable!

Don’t miss the rooftop garden! It’s a perfect spot for some great photos and a nice break from the artwork. I skipped it at first but totally regretted it afterwards!
Taichung Textiles Museum

If you're into textile art, don’t miss the workshops they sometimes offer. I stumbled upon one and it was the highlight of my visit

i suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. it was less crowded and i had more space to appreciate the exhibits without interruptions.
