Maple Garden
Wen-Xin Forest Park

Consider visiting during the week instead of the weekend. The crowds can get crazy on Saturdays and Sundays.

Check the weather before you go. A sunny day makes a huge difference; you’ll enjoy the landscape and photo ops way more!

I highly recommend bringing a packed lunch. There are some lovely spots to sit and eat, and it'll save you from overpriced snacks in the park.

Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes! The paths are great for walking but can be long if you want to explore everything
Taichung Park

My advice is to check out the little boat rides on the lake. It was super relaxing and not too pricey. Just be ready for the occasional splashes!

Don't skip the little trails! I think they are just as beautiful as the main pathways. I accidentally wandered off and found some hidden gems that people often overlook.

If you want to avoid the crowds, I really suggest heading over there early in the morning, around 7 AM. The early morning light is perfect for photography too!
I recommend renting a bike if you're up for it! It's a fun way to see more of the park, but make sure to check the bike availability ahead of time. I had to wait a bit.
Taichung Metropolitan Park
I suggest bringing a picnic! The park has lots of great spots to chill and enjoy some food. It's a nice way to save money on meals while soaking in the scenery.

make sure to wear comfy shoes and bring water. i walked for hours without realizing how much i'd explore, but by the end, my feet were killing me!
I think it's worth it to explore the less popular trails. They can be a bit hidden, but they offer a peaceful escape away from the crowds. Just watch out for the mosquitos!
Fongle Sculpture Park

I think going in the morning around 9 AM is ideal. It's cooler, and you can enjoy the peace before the crowds arrive. Plus, the lighting is great for photos!

Don't miss the interactive sculptures—they're really fun and great for all ages. I had a blast taking goofy photos with them!

Try to visit on a weekday if you can. The weekends can get pretty crowded, which makes it hard to take nice photos without loads of people in the background.

I suggest downloading a map of the park beforehand, just in case the Wi-Fi is spotty. Some areas can be a bit confusing, and having a visual helps you save time wandering.
Calligraphy Greenway

I suggest bringing a light jacket or scarf, just in case the weather gets unpredictable. It can get windy and chillier than you expect, especially in the evenings.

Check out the art installations scattered throughout the park. Some are really unique and make for great Instagram shots. You might miss them if you're just walking fast!

Grab a bike from one of the rental spots nearby! It's a fun way to explore the whole stretch of the Calligraphy Greenway without wearing your legs out. Just be mindful of bike lanes

Don't skip the little food stalls around the area. I found some awesome street food that was super affordable and delicious. Perfect for a snack while you're walking around!
Wufeng Lin Family Garden

I recommend arriving just after 8 AM when it opens. You’ll avoid the crowds and get some peaceful photos in the beautiful gardens.

I suggest bringing some comfortable shoes because you’ll be walking a lot! Some paths were tricky to navigate with flip-flops.

If you're into photography, the golden hour in the late afternoon is stunning here, especially around 5 PM. Just don't forget to charge your phone!
Botanical Garden of National Museum of Nature Science
Aofong Mountain Sports Park

Bring a light jacket if you're visiting in the late afternoon. The weather can get chilly up there, and I wasn't prepared and ended up a bit cold.

I recommend going early in the day around 8 AM to avoid the crowds and enjoy the fresh air while hiking. It made my experience way more peaceful!

Don't forget to download a map of the trails on your phone beforehand. Cell reception can be spotty, and I found myself a bit lost at one point!

If you're on a budget, pack your own snacks and water. The food options are a bit pricey, and I found picnic spots with great views for a perfect break.
Folklore Park

I think you should wear comfy shoes. The park is bigger than it looks, and I ended up walking a lot more than I expected. Trust me, your feet will thank you!

i suggest going on weekdays if you can. it was way less crowded for me, and i felt like i had the whole place to explore without bumping into too many people.

My advice is to bring some snacks or a light lunch. The café options are kinda limited and can be pricey, plus eating outdoors is super nice.
