Museums in Taipei:
National Palace Museum
Museum of the imperial palace
The New Taipei City Gold Museum
I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. It was much quieter, which made the experience so much more enjoyable—no crowds blocking the exhibits!
Check out the free exhibitions! They often have interesting displays outside the main museum area, and you won't need a ticket for those. It's a great way to enjoy some history without spending extra.
The Taipei Fine Arts Museum
The New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum
The museum café has decent food, but prices can add up. I suggest grabbing a quick bite at a nearby local eatery before exploring to save some bucks.
If you have a little time, take a stroll around Yingge town afterward. It’s a charming area with lots of shops selling ceramics and traditional crafts. A great way to soak in the atmosphere!
National Taiwan Museum
Taipei Astronomical Museum
National Taiwan Science Education Center
Museum of Contemporary Art
Don't miss the café inside; their snacks were actually good! I regret not trying more goodies while taking a break from all the walking.
