I suggest grabbing an audio guide. It made the exhibits so much more interesting and I learned things I totally missed otherwise.

I think the night market nearby is a great spot to grab dinner after your visit. The food is delicious, trust me!

Grab a coffee at one of the cafes before you start your tour. The vibe is relaxing, and it really helped me get into the creative spirit of the place.

My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. There’s a lot of walking involved, and you’ll want to enjoy the beautiful architecture without sore feet!

If you’re short on time skip the workshops unless you’re really interested. I found the exhibitions more engaging plus they’re easier to explore quickly.
The New Taipei City Gold Museum
If you're planning to explore the mine area, wear comfortable shoes! The paths can be uneven and require some walking, so don’t wear those new heels like I did

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. It was much quieter, which made the experience so much more enjoyable—no crowds blocking the exhibits!
Check out the free exhibitions! They often have interesting displays outside the main museum area, and you won't need a ticket for those. It's a great way to enjoy some history without spending extra.
Sun Yat-Sen Memorial
The Taipei Fine Arts Museum

I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can. It felt way less crowded, and I had more space to enjoy the art. Fridays are particularly busy
The New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum

Wear comfy shoes! The museum is bigger than it looks, and there’s a lot to explore. I regretted wearing my fashionable flats instead of sneakers.

Don’t miss the rooftop garden! It’s a hidden gem with a great view of the surrounding area. Perfect for a quick photo op and some fresh air.
The museum café has decent food, but prices can add up. I suggest grabbing a quick bite at a nearby local eatery before exploring to save some bucks.

If you have a little time, take a stroll around Yingge town afterward. It’s a charming area with lots of shops selling ceramics and traditional crafts. A great way to soak in the atmosphere!
