Grand Palace
My advice is to take some time to chat with the local vendors outside. They have great stories and you might find a cool souvenir at a better price than inside!
I recommend getting there right when it opens at 8:30 AM. The crowds are way less, and you can take stunning pics without hoards of people in the background.
Check out the Royal Chapel but be careful about the strict dress code. I saw so many visitors getting turned away for inappropriate clothing!
Wat Arun
Buddha Temple
Don’t forget sunscreen if it’s a sunny day. I was burned up after just an hour of wandering around. I’d suggest left the sunscreen in your bag for easy access.
Temple of the Emerald Buddha
Bangkok Art and Cultural Center
I think it’s a good idea to ask the staff about any temporary exhibits or events; they are super friendly and can point you to some hidden gems you might miss otherwise
I recommend visiting on weekdays around 10 AM; it felt way less crowded, and I could take my time enjoying the exhibits. Weekends are a mad house!
Don’t skip the cafes on the top floor! They have great views and are perfect for a chill coffee break after exploring. Plus, prices are reasonable.
Golden Buddha
Jim Thompson House Museum
I recommend getting there right when it opens at 9 AM. The crowds are way lighter, and you can take your time exploring without feeling rushed.
If you can download the museum's audio guide app beforehand. It really enhances the experience and you'll learn so much more as you explore.
Don’t skip the café! The Thai iced tea and snacks are delicious and a perfect way to break up your visit.
Plan to spend at least 2-3 hours there... Between exploring the house and the beautiful gardens, you’ll want time to soak it all in
Victory Monument
Siam Museum
I suggest downloading the museum's app right before your visit. It gives you cool insights and fun facts for each exhibit. I missed some fun info just because I didn't have it!
The National Museum of Bangkok
Wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot, and some parts can be a bit uneven. Trust me, your feet will thank you later!
