I think it's smart to bring water and some snacks. There aren't a ton of places to buy food nearby, and the heat can be intense, especially in the afternoon.

You might want to keep an eye on the time. There's a lot to see, so set a limit for how long you're willing to spend there, or you could end up rushed at the last minute.

I suggest checking the weather ahead of time. My visit was cut short by rain, but had I checked, I could have planned better. Sunscreen is also a must, even on cloudy days.

If you can, do a mini photoshoot at the bridge leading to the temple. I got some of my fave photos there, and it's less crowded than inside the temple itself.
