Culture in Kyiv:
Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II
My advice is to grab the audio guide! It really helped me understand the displays better, and for a small fee, it’s worth it.
I suggest checking out the outdoor exhibits first, especially the giant Motherland statue—it’s a great photo op! You can get some good pics without the crowds there.
Kiev-Pechersk Lavra
If you're on a budget, skip the café inside and pack some snacks. I spent way too much on a simple coffee. Picnic vibe outside is much better!
Don't miss the beautiful views from the upper grounds, especially around sunset. I almost left without seeing it, and I would've regretted it!
Arch of Friendship of Peoples
Golden Gate
Motherland
Bring some water and snacks. There aren’t many facilities around the monument, and you might need a break after all the walking.
St. Andrew's Church
Mikhailovsky Golden-Domed Monastery
I think it's worth scanning the area for young artists selling their work. You could find some unique pieces to take home!
National Museum of National Architecture and Pobutu Ukraine
Bring a decent pair of walking shoes! The outdoor exhibits require some walking, and my feet were killing me by the end of the day.
I suggest getting there right when they open at 10 AM. The morning crowd is pretty light, and you can explore without feeling rushed.
Vladimir Cathedral
State Aviation Museum of Ukraine
Make sure to wear comfy shoes! The outdoor exhibits can require quite a bit of walking, and you'll want to explore everything without sore feet holding you back
