I suggest arriving right when they open at 10 AM to avoid the crowds and really soak in the place. It felt way more intimate that way.

If you can, visit on a weekday around 2 PM. It was so much quieter then, I could really enjoy all the displays without being rushed or crowded

I suggest checking out the cafe before or after your visit; they have some lovely snacks and it's a nice place to relax. Plus, the prices are pretty reasonable!
