Mather Point
Check out the visitor center first. They've got great exhibits and can help you map out the most efficient route to maximize your time.

Consider catching the shuttle from the visitor center. Parking can fill up, and the shuttle is a stress-free way to get around the canyon.

Get there at sunrise if you can; the colors are stunning and you'll avoid the crowds that build quickly. It's worth the early wake-up!

Bring a refillable water bottle; the prices for drinks are steep inside the park. There's a water station nearby to help you stay hydrated.
Yavapai Point

I recommend catching the sunrise here, around 5:30 AM. It's way less crowded and the colors of the canyon are just breathtaking! Plus, you can snag some awesome photos without the crowds getting in the way.

I think the visitor center has some great exhibits, but don’t waste too much time there. I’d suggest checking it out for about 30 mins and then heading straight to the views.

If you're not into heavy hiking, stick to the paved pathways leading from the observation deck. They're just as stunning, and you won’t end up exhausted before lunch!

If you want to avoid the bathroom lines, hit the ones near the observation area before 10 AM. After that, it gets chaotic, especially with families coming in!
Hopi Point

Consider borrowing a bus pass instead of driving. It saves on parking fees and lets you chill and enjoy the ride to Hopi Point without the hassle of finding a spot.

Get there at sunrise, around 6:00 AM, for stunning views and fewer crowds. Watching the sunrise at Hopi Point was pure magic and a much better experience than later in the day.

Pack a picnic to enjoy while soaking in the views. There's nothing better than having lunch with a perfect Grand Canyon backdrop. Just make sure to bring some trash bags to keep the place clean
Grand Canyon Railway

I think packing your own snacks will save you money. The food on board was decent but overpriced. I brought some trail mix and it kept me energized!

My advice is to sit on the left side of the train for the best views heading towards the canyon. You won't regret the stunning landscape!

I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your train departure. It gets busy, and you don't wanna rush through the check-in process. Plus, there are some cute shops to explore!
Mohave Point

I suggest bringing snacks and water – the views are so stunning you'll want to spend a lot of time there. There's nothing like a little picnic while soaking in the beauty!

I recommend visiting around sunset; the colors are just magical. I got some of the best photos then, and the crowds were smaller too!

I think you should consider bringing a small tripod for your camera. The lighting can be tricky at times, and a steady shot makes all the difference – I wish I had brought mine!

My advice is to wear sturdy shoes. The trails around Mohave Point can be uneven, and you don’t want to miss those photo ops because you’re worried about tripping!
Yaki Point

Bring snacks and water. I didn’t think I’d need it, but I was there longer than planned, and it was great to have some energy-boosters on hand.

Don’t skip the short hike to the viewpoint on the way to Yaki Point. The views are stunning, and it’s only a 10-minute walk. I almost drove straight there and would’ve missed out!

Parking can get tricky; go early especially on weekends. I rolled in around 8 AM and snagged a spot easily. Later the lots were packed and it was a hassle.

Definitely catch the sunset here if you can! I was blown away by the colors and it wasn’t as crowded as I'd feared. Just find a spot a little earlier – about 30 minutes before sunset is perfect.
Powell Point

Bring some snacks or light lunch. The cafes nearby are super overpriced, and trust me, you don’t want to be hangry while taking in the views!

Wear comfy shoes! I underestimated how much walking I’d do around Powell Point. I ended up with blisters, and that was no fun trying to enjoy the sights!

Check the weather beforehand. It can be chilly in the morning, and I was freezing because I didn't layer up. Also, the views are actually better when the sky is clear!

Get to Powell Point around sunrise or sunset for the best views. I noticed that the lighting gives a totally different vibe and you'll get some amazing pics. Just don't forget your camera battery
