Griffith Park
Exposition Park
I suggest checking out the California Science Center first, especially if you're into interactive exhibits. It can get crowded, so I recommend getting there by 10 AM for the best experience.
My tip: Don't miss the Rose Garden, it’s usually quiet and a perfect spot for some great photos. Try to go in the early afternoon when the light is best
Pacific Park
If you’re into the arcade games, make sure you get a reloadable game card. I wasted time fumbling with coins the first time around, and a card just makes everything smoother!
I suggest getting there right when it opens at 11 AM to beat the crowds and enjoy the rides without long lines. Trust me, some rides can get pretty busy later on.
I think it’s smart to bring your own snacks and drinks to save money... Food inside the park can be a bit pricey, and while it's not bad, it's not exactly gourmet either
Grand Park LA
Don’t skip the fountains! They’re perfect for cooling off, especially on hot days. Just be sure to bring a change of clothes if you plan to play!
Check out the various food trucks parked around the area. They offer great local eats, and you'll save money compared to dining at nearby restaurants.
Beverly Gardens Park
Don't forget sunscreen! I got a bit sunburned even though I didn’t think it was that sunny. Better safe than sorry, right?
Palisades Park
Parking can be a pain, so consider rideshare or public transport. I wasted time circling around looking for a spot, and it totally put a damper on my vibe.
If you're planning to take pics go around sunset! The sky is gorgeous and the lighting is perfect. I regret not capturing more of those moments when I was there.
Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area
I suggest bringing a picnic! The views are stunning, and there are plenty of spots to chill. Plus, it saves you money compared to nearby cafes.
Runyon Canyon Park
I recommend bringing plenty of water especially if you choose to hike the longer trails. It gets hot out there! Trust me I learned the hard way and had to turn back early because I ran out of water.
Barnsdell Art Park
Wear comfy shoes! The paths are beautiful but can be uneven. I was glad I wore my walking shoes to explore the whole park without feeling sore.
Parking can be tricky. I found a spot at the nearby neighborhood streets, but I suggest arriving by 10 AM if you want to avoid circling around the block.
Topanga State Park
I recommend bringing plenty of water and some snacks. The trails can get pretty steep and you'll want to stay hydrated. I actually regretted not packing more food after a long hike
