Culture Places Map
Culture in San Diego:
USS Midway Museum
If you're on a budget, look for combo tickets with other attractions nearby. I saved some cash that way. Totally worth it!
Seaport Village
If you're looking for a bite to eat, skip the first few waterfront restaurants. I found a cute taco place tucked away, and the prices were way better, plus the food was delish. Don't settle for the tourist traps!
Check out the local musicians performing in the plaza area. They add a great atmosphere, and sometimes you can see some cool local talent. I ended up staying longer just to enjoy the music!
Ocean Beach Pier
My advice is to wear comfy shoes; you'll want to walk the pier and explore the beach. The views are beautiful, and you won't want to rush it.
Think about bringing a light jacket; it can get a bit chilly by the water, especially around sunset. I wasn't prepared and ended up freezing!
I recommend checking out the local food joints instead of the expensive restaurants on the pier— some great taco stands are just a short walk away and way cheaper!
Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial
I recommend bringing a camera for sure! The panoramic views of San Diego are breathtaking and you'll want to snap some pics.
I suggest visiting around 9 AM to catch the sunrise views. The light is amazing and it won't be too crowded yet.
San Diego Air & Space Museum
If you want to save on admission, look for combo tickets online that include other attractions. I wish I had done that because it’s a great deal!
I suggest checking out the planetarium shows – they’re super cool and really enhance the experience! Just make sure to get your tickets in advance to avoid sellouts.
