Haulover Park
If you're into fishing, bring your gear! I spotted many people catching fish right from the shore, so it's a fun option if you have the time.
I highly recommend arriving before 10 AM to snag a good parking spot and get that morning beach vibe. It fills up fast trust me!
My advice is to pack your own snacks. The food options are a bit pricey, and you can save a ton just by bringing your own cooler.
Crandon Park
I think it's worth checking the events calendar before you go. We stumbled upon a cool event that made our visit extra special, but I wish we’d planned for it!
If you're like me and love to chill on the beach, try to get there by 9 AM to snag a good spot. The later it gets, the harder it is to find a nice little nook!
Bayfront Park
Amelia Earhart Park
If you plan to bike, rent one from a nearby shop instead of the park. It’s usually cheaper and you get a better selection.
I recommend going early in the morning around 8 AM to beat the heat and the crowds. You'll get a quieter experience and can explore the trails at your own pace.
Oleta River State Park
Check out the beach area. It's super chill and great for a picnic. Just remember to bring a towel because I didn't and ended up sitting on the sand!
I really enjoyed kayaking on the river, but I suggest you rent a kayak early in the day to avoid lines. The rental opens at 9 AM, and it gets busy really fast
Make sure to pack a cooler with snacks and water. There aren’t many places to grab food, and it's way cheaper than buying stuff in the park.
If you're into biking, I recommend bringing your own bike. The trails are awesome, plus rental bikes can be pricey and sometimes they're not in the best shape.
South Pointe Park Pier
Check out the local art installations along the way. They kinda popped up unexpectedly for me, but it really added a nice touch to the whole vibe.
Park Museum
I think you should check the museum’s calendar before you go. During my visit, there was a cool temporary exhibit, and I had no idea until I got there!
Graynolds Park
Check out the nature trails early in the morning, around 8 AM. The scenery is stunning and the paths are way less crowded then.
Matson Hammok Park
Check out the trails but don’t just stick to the main paths— there are some hidden spots that are super peaceful. I accidentally found a cozy nook and just relaxed there for a while.
