Culture Places Map
Culture in Honolulu:
Ala Moana Center
Don't miss the art and design elements scattered around the center. Some of the sculptures were super cool, and they make for great photo ops!
Battleship Arizona Memorial
USS Missouri
If you’re into photography try to visit right after the opening at 9 AM for the best natural light. The ship looks stunning in the early rays.
Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail
Duke Kahanamoku Statue
Bishop Museum
I suggest planning your visit on a weekday if you can; it gets way less crowded, especially around 10 am. You’ll have the exhibits all to yourself.
i think you should take advantage of the picnic area outside. you can save money on lunch and enjoy the nice weather; just bring your own food, because the café is kinda pricey
Iolani Castle
I suggest taking the audio tour instead of a guided one. It gives you more flexibility, and I learned so much on my own pace without feeling rushed!
King Kamehameha Statue
I think spending some time chatting with locals can enhance your experience; they often have interesting stories and tips about the area that you won’t find in the guidebooks.
Honolulu Art Museum
Check out the free admission days. I stumbled upon one during my visit, which totally saved me some cash and still let me enjoy all the art.
If you're into photography, grab your camera! Some areas of the museum have stunning lighting and great backdrops, perfect for capturing memories
Don't skip the café on site. I had a light lunch there, and the prices were pretty reasonable, plus it was nice to relax before diving back into more art!
Pearl Harbor
I recommend you go early, like around 7:30 AM. The crowds can get nasty later, and you'll get better pics without all the people in them! Plus, the morning light is just beautiful for photos.
