City Park

If you're into jogging or biking, I suggest hitting the paths early in the morning around 7 AM. The fresh air is lovely and the park is quiet.

Okay, so I totally underestimated how hot it gets. Bring sunscreen and a water bottle; the Sun can be relentless, even in early fall!

I recommend visiting the park on a weekday; it was way less crowded and I could really enjoy the tranquil vibes. Weekends can be nutty!

Check out the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park if you’re with kids. They had a blast, and I think it was worth the entry fee. Just budget for snacks!
Louis Armstrong Park

I recommend taking a stroll down the path toward the Congo Square area. It's a beautiful part of the park and often has live music on weekends. Just be prepared for a crowd.

One thing I learned is to bring your own snacks. There aren't many food options inside the park, and the ones nearby can be pricey. Pack a picnic for a nice break!
Palmer Park

I recommend checking out the local artists' market on Saturdays; it's a great way to support local creators and grab unique souvenirs without breaking the bank. Plus, the vibe is super friendly!
