Union Station Kansas City

If you're planning to visit the Science City area, try going on a weekday. It was way less crowded when we did that, and we could really enjoy everything.

I recommend checking out their website for any special events before you go. We stumbled upon a cool exhibit that we wouldn’t have known about otherwise!

I think many people miss the beautiful views from the upper levels of the station. Don't forget to take the stairs up to the balcony for some great photos!
Kansas City Zoo

Definitely get there right when they open at 9 AM. The animals are most active in the morning, and you’ll avoid the big crowds that roll in later.
Jacob L. Loose Park

If you're bringing kids, hit the playground first. It's a great way for them to burn off some energy before exploring the trails.

Don’t miss out on the Rose Garden! It's a hidden gem and blooms beautifully in Spring. Perfect spot for pics for your Insta!

I suggest bringing your own water bottle. The park can get hot, and you want to stay hydrated without forking over a fortune for drinks.
The Ewing and Muriel Kauffman Memorial Garden

I recommend visiting in the early morning, around 8 AM, when the light is great for photos and it's less crowded. You'll feel more relaxed walking through the garden
Berkeley Riverfront

My advice is to bring a picnic, it's a great way to relax and enjoy the views. There are plenty of nice spots and it saves you some cash on food!

I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. The weekends can get pretty busy, and I had to deal with crowded walking paths which was annoying.

I think you should bring a good camera or your smartphone for photos. The riverfront views are beautiful, and you'll want to capture the sunset—just make sure to arrive around 6 PM!
Penguin Park

Bring your own snacks! There's a playground and some great spots to chill so save a few bucks by packing a lunch instead of buying food on-site.
SEA LIFE Kansas City
I suggest booking your tickets online beforehand to skip the lines. This saved me a lot of time and hassle when I visited! Plus, you can often find discounts online.
