Hippie Hollow Park

Get there early, around 9 AM, to snag a good spot and enjoy the peaceful vibe before it gets crowded. Trust me, it's worth it!

I recommend exploring the trails around the park – they're often overlooked but offer some stunning views and a nice escape from the crowds
McKinney Falls State Park

Check the weather beforehand. I didn’t realize it was going to rain, and I ended up getting caught without proper gear. A poncho would have been a lifesaver!

Bring a picnic! There's plenty of shady spots by the falls to relax and enjoy some food. I saved a lot by packing lunch instead of eating at nearby restaurants.

I suggest arriving right when the park opens at 8 AM. It was so peaceful and I got some great photos before the crowds rolled in.
Barton Creek Greenbelt

I recommend wearing good hiking shoes because the trails can be rocky and muddy, especially after rain. I found it tough at times, but a solid pair of shoes made a big difference!
Muller Lake Park

Check out the local food trucks nearby! I grabbed a quick bite after my walk, and it was delicious without breaking the bank.

Wear comfortable shoes! The trails are nice but can be a bit uneven in places. I learned that the hard way.

I suggest visiting Muller Lake Park in the early morning around 8 AM. It’s less crowded and you can enjoy the peaceful vibe before the day heats up.

If you're into photography, the sunset views around 6 PM are stunning. I recommend sticking around for that golden hour!
Auditorium Shores at Town Lake

The sunset view from the shores is amazing! Try to be there around 6:30 PM to catch those gorgeous colors reflecting on the water.

Pack a picnic. There are plenty of nice spots to chill and enjoy some food. Restaurants nearby can be pricey, so save those bucks.

If you can, check out the free yoga classes on Sundays at 10 AM, it's a fun way to relax and meet locals. Just bring your mat!
Emma Long Metropolitan Park

Check out the beach area! I wasn’t expecting it but it’s a great spot to chill. Just be sure to pack sunscreen because the sun can be intense, even in the shade

I recommend exploring the trails with good shoes. Some paths can get a bit tricky, and my sandals didn’t work out so well. Trail runners or hiking boots would be better.

Bring cash for the entrance fee; I thought card payments were accepted everywhere, but I saw a few spots where they didn’t take cards. Always better to be prepared!
I suggest getting there early, around 8 AM, to snag a good parking spot and beat the crowds. It gets packed fast, especially on weekends.
Zilker Park

I suggest visiting the Barton Springs Pool early around 8 AM if you can. It gets packed fast plus there's a small entry fee—avoid the lunch rush and save some time by swimming before the crowds show up!
