Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center
I suggest packing a lunch or even snacks. The food options there can be a bit pricey, and there's plenty of nice spots to picnic! Bring a blanket if you can.
Jamestown Settlement
I recommend getting there right when it opens at 9 AM. It gets super crowded by noon, and you’ll have a lot more time to explore without the rush.
Governor's Palace
Don't forget to bring a good camera! The gardens are beautiful and perfect for photos, but they get crowded later in the day. So, snap some pics right after you enter.
I think you should check their schedule for special reenactments or events when you visit. I missed a fun one because I didn’t plan ahead - it would have been cool to see!
Colonial Williamsburg Courthouse
I suggest you visit the Courthouse in the late afternoon, around 4 PM. It's less crowded then, so you can really soak in the history without rushing.
Bruton Parish Episcopal Church
I suggest parking at the visitor center and taking the short walk to the church. It saves a bit on parking fees and you get to explore the area too!
If you can visit on a weekday, do it! The church was less crowded and I could really take my time soaking in all the history and architecture.
Don't skip the gift shop! I found some unique, affordable souvenirs that I didn't see in other touristy spots. Plus, some of the proceeds go to the church.
