Iguazu Falls - Argentina
Cerro Campanario
I recommend visiting around 4 PM. The sunset views are breathtaking and you'll beat the crowds too. It was magical.
Hill of the Seven Colors
Aconcagua
I recommend checking the weather forecast frequently. Conditions can change fast, and one day it’s sunny, and the next it’s snowing. I wasn’t prepared for sudden weather changes, and it caught me off guard.
I think it’s super important to acclimatize properly. Spend at least a few days in Mendoza before your trip; it really helps with the altitude. I skipped this part and felt the effects during the hike.
Cajon del Azul
El Chalten
Bring cash! A lot of places in El Chaltén don't accept cards, and ATMs can be limited. I learned this the hard way when I wanted to buy some snacks for the trails.
Mount Fitz Roy
Uritorco Hill
Check the weather ahead of time. I got caught in a sudden rainstorm and it made the trip a bit challenging. I'd have enjoyed it much more if I'd been prepared!
The Frey
Don't forget your camera! The views are unreal, and there are tons of great spots for photos. Just watch out for slippery rocks!
I suggest bringing layers. The weather can change super quickly—sun, wind, and maybe some rain, so be prepared!
Hut-to-Hut Trek
I suggest checking the weather forecast before you head out. The conditions can change quickly and I ended up caught in an unexpected hailstorm – not fun at all.
Pack light but don’t skimp on essentials. I wish I had brought better hiking socks instead of cheap ones – my blisters were no joke on the fourth day!
