Eisriesenwelt Ice Cave

Check the weather! It can get freezing in the cave compared to outside, so layering up is a smart move. I had to borrow a jacket from my friend!

Be ready for a bit of a wait if you’re going in peak season. We went at 10 AM and it was packed! Maybe coming around 4 PM would give you shorter lines.

I think you should take your time exploring the surrounding area after the tour. The views are stunning, and you'll get some great pics! Don’t rush off to your next stop immediately.

My advice is to carry a flashlight. In some parts of the cave it gets super dark, and it can be hard to appreciate the ice formations without a bit of extra light.

Grab some snacks before you head up. The prices at the café can be a bit steep, so having your own snacks saved us a good bit of cash.

Check the weather before you go; it can get chilly inside the caves! I made the mistake of not bringing a light jacket and regretted it as soon as I entered.

Make sure to check if there's a special event like a candlelight tour when you visit. It's totally worth it for a unique atmosphere, but check the schedule in advance so you don't miss out!

I suggest wearing sturdy shoes because the cave floors can be slippery and uneven. I almost slipped a few times, and it would have ruined my experience!

If you can, try to go on a weekday morning around 10 AM. It's way less crowded, and you'll get a better chance to appreciate the beauty without the hustle and bustle.

I suggest wearing good shoes, it's a bit slippery inside the cave. I almost took a tumble! You'll be climbing and navigating some uneven paths, so some sturdy kicks will save you from slipping up.

I recommend packing a small snacks and water. The inside of the cave can get humid and you might want a little break halfway through. Plus, it's nice to sit outside and enjoy the views afterwards!

I recommend booking your tickets online in advance, especially during peak season. It saved me a lot of time waiting in line, and it’s just a more relaxed way to enjoy the experience

I suggest wearing good shoes because the cave can be slippery and you don’t want to miss any of the cool formations by worrying about your footing. A bit of carefulness goes a long way.
