Schonbrunner Schloss Park

I suggest checking the weather before you go. I got caught in a surprise rain shower, and while it was refreshing, I wish I’d brought an umbrella!

i recommend bringing your own water and snacks. the cafes are kinda pricey, so you can save some cash and enjoy a picnic in one of the beautiful spots!

Don’t miss the gardens, but I think it's best to visit in spring or early summer when everything is in bloom. It's just so much prettier!
My advice is to grab a map at the entrance. The park is like a small maze and it really helps to know where you’re going instead of wandering aimlessly!
Schonbrunn Zoo

I think it's a good idea to wear comfortable shoes because you'll be doing a lot of walking. I underestimated how big the zoo is and my feet were hurting by the end!
Krimml Waterfalls
Vienna City Park
Eisriesenwelt Ice Cave

Check the weather! It can get freezing in the cave compared to outside, so layering up is a smart move. I had to borrow a jacket from my friend!

Be ready for a bit of a wait if you’re going in peak season. We went at 10 AM and it was packed! Maybe coming around 4 PM would give you shorter lines.

I think you should take your time exploring the surrounding area after the tour. The views are stunning, and you'll get some great pics! Don’t rush off to your next stop immediately.

My advice is to carry a flashlight. In some parts of the cave it gets super dark, and it can be hard to appreciate the ice formations without a bit of extra light.
Volksgarten
Check out the little cafe inside the park for a quick coffee or snack. It’s way cheaper than nearby tourist spots, and the outdoor seating is great for people-watching!

I suggest grabbing a map when you enter. The park is bigger than it looks, and you don’t want to miss hidden gems like the Theseus Temple.

If you're a fan of classical music, try to visit on a weekend when they sometimes hold free concerts. It adds a magical touch to your visit!

If you're there in the warmer months, make sure to catch the rose garden in full bloom! The vibrant colors are worth the visit. I didn't expect to stay for hours just soaking in the beauty!
Eisriesenwelt Werfen
Eisriesenwelt

Grab some snacks before you head up. The prices at the café can be a bit steep, so having your own snacks saved us a good bit of cash.

Check the weather before you go; it can get chilly inside the caves! I made the mistake of not bringing a light jacket and regretted it as soon as I entered.
Hallstatter Lake
Burggarten

Bring a picnic! There are lovely spots on the grass where you can chill and enjoy some snacks. It saves money and gives you a nice break.

If you're planning to sit and relax, find a bench near the butterfly house. It’s a peaceful spot, plus watching the butterflies is really calming.

My advice is to explore the paths that lead away from the main areas; you'll find some hidden gems and a lot fewer tourists which makes for a nice escape.

I think taking a stroll around lunchtime is a good idea. You can enjoy some food from nearby vendors and watch the locals go by. It's a great way to soak up the atmosphere!
