Pyramidenkogel Tower
If you're planning to take photos from the observation deck, try to go early in the morning around 9 AM. The light is perfect and fewer people around means you can snap some great shots without too many interruptions.
Wear comfortable shoes if you plan on taking the walk up – it can get a bit strenuous, but the views along the way are worth it!
Karlskirche
Danube Tower
If you're a thrill-seeker, I recommend trying the bungee jumping. It's a unique experience, but be prepared for the adrenaline rush. It's not for the faint-hearted!
Check out the rotating restaurant if you have time. I didn't go because I thought it was too pricey, but I've read the views while dining are unbeatable.
Five Fingers
Giggijochbahn
Check the weather before you go – it can change quickly in the mountains. I was caught in a sudden snowfall and ended up cutting my day short. Dress in layers, just in case!
Definitely buy your tickets online in advance. It saves you from standing in a long queue at the station, especially during peak season. I did this and it made my day much smoother!
Hallstatt Skywalk Welterbeblick
Top of Tyrol
Bring your own snacks and water. The café at the top is pricey, and having a little picnic while enjoying the view is way better!
Consider visiting during the weekdays if you can. The weekends can get super busy, so it's worth planning around that.
Semmering Bahn
Don’t rush the experience! I think taking the trip in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, allows you to see the sunsets illuminating the mountains. Just stunning!
Fox in a Box
I think you should arrive about 10-15 minutes early. We were a bit late, and the staff was super chill, but I'd avoid rushing and losing those precious puzzle-solving minutes!
Salzbergbahn Hallstatt
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. The paths around the Salzbergbahn can be a bit steep and you don’t want to be slipping all over the place like I did!
I suggest buying your tickets online in advance to save some time in the queues... Trust me, the lines can get super long, especially on weekends
I definitely recommend checking out the view from the top around sunset. The colors are just incredible, but be mindful of the time it takes to get back down – I almost got stuck up there!
