Big Market
Manneken Pis

Bring your patience if you want a good photo. I found peak times pretty chaotic! Maybe wait until around 6 PM when families start to thin out.

I think it's worth checking social media for events happening nearby. Sometimes, there are fun pop-up markets or live music just around the corner!

Don't just snap a pic and run. Spend a few minutes checking out the cute little shops nearby. You might find some cool souvenirs!
If you're a fan of street art, wander a bit further from Manneken Pis... There are some really cool murals hidden in the side streets
Atomium
Market Square

Help yourself to some great street food vendors! I got a fantastic fries cone for a couple of euros, and it filled me up without breaking the bank.

I recommend visiting Market Square in the early morning around 8 AM. It's way less crowded, and you can enjoy the stunning architecture without elbowing through throngs of people.

Check out the Belfry Tower right next to the square, but be ready for a climb! It's totally worth it for the views, but I suggest going early to avoid long lines.

Bring some snacks or a packed lunch; prices at nearby cafes can be steep. I found a really nice spot to picnic right in the square that saved me some cash!
MAS Museum
Castle of the Counts of Flanders
Brussels Cathedral

I recommend visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds. I went on a Saturday and it was packed, making it hard to appreciate the architecture.

Don't miss the gardens behind the cathedral. They're super peaceful and a great spot for photos—just a two-minute walk from the entrance!

After your visit, treat yourself to some Belgian treats at a nearby café. I had the best waffles just a short walk away, which was a nice way to wrap up my day!

Check the opening hours before you go, as they can vary depending on the season. I realized too late that they close early on some days, which cut my visit short!
Menin Gate

Don't skip the visitor center nearby. They have great exhibits and can help you learn more about the Great War – plus it's free.

Try to visit around 10 AM or 4 PM to avoid the biggest crowds and catch some lovely light for pictures. Trust me, the early risers are rewarded with a more peaceful experience

Check out the Last Post ceremony at 8 PM. It's a touching tribute and truly adds depth to your visit, so plan your day around it!
If you're into history, grab a small guidebook or download an app before you go. It’ll enhance your understanding of the memorial and its significance.
Belfort
Royal Palace

I recommend visiting on a weekday if possible, the crowds are way thinner and you'll have better access to those stunning views. My experience was a lot more relaxed than the weekend rush!
I think the audio guide is totally worth it. It immerses you in the rich history much more than just wandering around. I almost skipped it and would’ve regretted it big time!
