Plaza Murillo

I think it’s wise to have some cash handy for small purchases. There are plenty of street food options that are delicious and super affordable. I tried some salteñas and they were amazing!

If you’re planning to take pictures, I suggest avoiding the weekends. It gets super busy with locals, and finding a good angle can be tricky. Weekdays are way quieter!
Cristo de la Concordia
Basilica of Menor de San Lorenzo
Basilica of St. Francis
Gates of the Sun
National Mint of Bolivia

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! The museum has quite a few staircases and walking around gets tiring. I wished I had brought something more supportive

I suggest buying the combined ticket for the National Mint and the other nearby museums. It saves you a few bucks and lets you explore more without breaking the bank!

Don’t miss the film about the history of the mint! It’s short but super informative. My advice is to sit through it first before wandering around; it gives good context for everything you’ll see afterward.
Kalasasaya
Puma Punku
Calle Jaen

i think bringing cash is a good idea, as some of the smaller shops and cafés don’t accept cards. i missed out on some neat souvenirs because of that.
Train Cemetery

I suggest arriving early around 8 AM. The light is fantastic for photos and you’ll avoid the crowds later in the day. Don’t forget sunscreen, it can get super bright!
